Mario Bédard has been Vice President, Real Estate Investments at iA Financial Group since October 2016. He is responsible for real estate activities, both in terms of daily operations and investments. As manager of real estate services, his portfolio includes office buildings, shopping malls and senior residences.

 

Professional Background

He graduated in Accounting and Business Administration from Laval University and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec (CPA, CA). He also holds a Chartered Real Estate Broker License and is a member of the OACIQ. He was Senior Vice President at Bentall Kennedy for nearly 13 years and has held senior financial positions in various private and public organizations. In 1995, he founded Groupe Immobilier VALOR Inc. as President and over the following 9 years he notably developed the Cité Multimédia of Montreal, a building complex of about 1.5 million square feet.

 

Outreach

He is president of the board of directors of the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids, a member of the board of directors of the Urban Development Institute of Quebec (UDI) and a member of the board of directors of the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation Museum, as well as its Audit and Investment Committees.
