Michel Dallaire President and CEO Groupe Dallaire inc.

Mr. Michel Dallaire is since May 2016 Chairman of the Board. He has been Chief Executive Officer of the REIT from March 2016 to December 2017 and President and Chief Executive Officer of the REIT from April 2005 to March 3, 2016. He has close to 20 years of experience with Cominar, having served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2003 to 2005, and Executive Vice President, Operations up until 2003. Prior to joining Cominar, he worked as an engineer for Dupuis Côté, a Quebec City engineering firm. Mr. Dallaire holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Université Laval and is a member of Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Mr. Dallaire has been with Cominar since the creation of the REIT in 1998

Under his leadership, the REIT has more than quadrupled its real estate portfolio, with 44.8 million square feet of assets spread out across Quebec, Ontario, the Atlantic Provinces and Western Canada. Cominar is the third largest diversified real estate investment trust in Canada, and the largest commercial property owner in the Quebec. 

Michel Dallaire is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Groupe Dallaire Inc., a family-owned company operating in the real estate, construction and investment sectors. Groupe Dallaire is the largest development land owner in the greater Quebec City region, totaling 160 million square feet of property for diversified real estate projects (office, commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential) with over 650 employees; the Group is a major construction contractor in the province.

Dallaire is also VP and Secretary of the Fondation Famille Jules Dallaire, which donates to different causes supported by the Foundation.
